After the release of their first single "Soak" in September of last year, Mess has been performing throughout Missouri over the past year building up the release to their debut EP heartswithholes. The four piece includes Allison Gliesman (vocals), Kevin Briody (guitar/bass), Tanner Pinkerton (guitar), and Evan Velasquez (drums); The five track EP is a well-rounded, intimate look into Gliesman's past relationships and others around her.

“I wanted to write about experiences that weren’t necessarily mine. Up until that point, writing was very selfish for me. I realized that maybe I should try to step outside myself and try to explore.” Gliesman states in an interview with HearQueer. Mess' calculated blend of DIY pop, progressive rock and alternative makes the EP exciting for different music lovers and shows their attention to detail.
